Gabriola Lions do it again!

Lion Harold Jenner & Lion President Mike Phillips thank all those golfers and volunteers who participated in the "World Cup of Golf". Missing is Doug Cavill, leader of this very successful event.

Thanks go to all of the sponsors, especially the three lead sponsors, Village Foods, BC Ferries, and Arbutus Building Supplies. Without the support of the sponsors, charitable events as the "World Cup of Golf" could not proceed. As well, special thanks to the Gabriola Island Golf Club for hosting this event on August 13th and to the many volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen. A decision was made by all involved that the net proceeds of $8224.78 will go directly to the Gabriola Health Care Foundation, thereby benefiting all residents of Gabriola.
